Save Insurance

Insurance is an integral part of our lives.  It provides us with security and a financial help in case of emergency.  We have insurance for our homes, our cars, our health, our businesses, and even for ourselves.   When you add all of these necessary insurances together it really can end up being a lot of money spent each month.  The real trick is finding out how to save insurance so that we are not spending an arm or a leg on it.  One of the easiest insurances to save money on is auto insurance.

Save on Insurance Insurance Guide

When you are young it is hard to save insurance on automobiles.  Statistics show that younger drivers are more careless and more likely to get in an accident.  If you fall in this category then don’t fret, there are still some things that you can do to get a good deal on auto insurance.

1.  One thing you can do to save insurance money is to ask for higher deductibles.  This may sound ridiculous, but asking for higher deductibles can lead to much lower monthly premiums.  Your deductible is the amount of money you personally have to pay if an accident does happen.  Many safe drivers opt to do this because they very rarely get into accidents and have to pay their deductible.  The only backfire to this plan is if you do indeed get into an accident.  You will then be responsible to pay that large deductible.  You should make sure that you have enough money to cover the deductible if you choose to go with this option.

2.  Another option you have is to find specialist coverage. Typical insurance packages don’t offer no-claim bonuses for young drivers until they have been driving for about 3 years.  These specialist packages often let you start building up your no-claim bonuses right away.  They are probably the easiest way to start to save insurance money when it comes to automobiles.

3.  Whenever you can, benefit from low-mileage discounts.  Depending on the insurance company, you can get discounts if you don’t drive very many miles a year.  If you can manage to do this, you will save money in a lot of different areas as well.  You won’t have to spend as much money on gas, parking, maintenance, or other driving related costs.  The main problem to this strategy is that you are limited in your ability to use your vehicle to get around.  You can get around this by carpooling, using buses, or other forms of transportation.

4.  Last of all, buy a car that does not require high insurance premiums.  Many people buy brand new, sporty cars and wonder why they can’t save insurance money.  The fact is, if your car is a popular target for criminals, or is expensive to fix, you will have to spend more money covering it with auto insurance.  The best tip is to get a car that is low profile and not brand new.
