Insurance Company Payouts

Many people find that after a catastrophe they are unsatisfied with the amount their insurance company is willing to give them. Some may think there is nothing that can be done about this, while in fact there is. There are public adjusters all over the country that give an impartial third party evaluation of insurance claims.

Public adjusters are not associated with any specific insurance company. When they come out to do an evaluation, they only receive payment if the claim substantially increases. For people using a public adjuster they saw the amount of money received from the insurance company at least double.

When submitting a claim to an insurance company, the adjuster is usually paid by that company. Some believe that this makes them biased, and more likely to offer the minimum amount of money to fix the problem. This is where a public adjuster could be called in to get a second opinion on the matter.
